About Me

Hi, I'm Praveen.

I named this blog The Omnicompetent half as a joke and half as a confession: I've never been good at sticking to just one thing. Over the years I've built small games in Unity, made digital art and 3D models, composed music, and once helped write collision-avoidance algorithms for ships. Somewhere in the middle of all that tinkering, I became a software engineer.

These days I'm a Computer Scientist at Adobe, with 8 years spent on high-scale, high-stakes systems: microservices, GraphQL APIs, database migrations, and the test frameworks and fault-testing that keep all of it standing up under load. Lately I've been deep in Go, Python, and AI tooling, which scratch the same itch that got me into this in the first place.

Because the real thread running through all of it is curiosity. I like asking why the keyboard is laid out the way it is, why something breaks, why a thing works at all, and then chasing the answer until it clicks.

This blog is where I write down whatever I happen to be curious about. A bit of everything, as the tagline promises: some of it technical, some about staying sane and healthy at a screen all day, and some just me thinking out loud.

If any of it resonates, stick around. And whatever you're into, stay curious. :)
